HAPPY (late) ST. PATRICKS DAY

My boys at the St. Patricks Day parade, Brady was sick so we bundled him up. Then after all the St. Patricks Day fun Brady needed a clean diaper. We had a good time and it was so nice to be outside, I was starting to get a little cabin fever.

We better get caught up

It's been awhile since I've had time to sit at the computer and type. I've found that since I don't work until 1:00 I don't tend to get up really early and morning is the only time I have in a day. So I'm up, Brady's getting ready for his 1st morning nap and I want to get caught up.

A week ago this last Monday, we took Brady to the Dr because he had 2 ear infections, poor baby. It was fun to go because they weighed and he has only gained a 1# 6 oz since his 6 month well child check. I had just mentioned to Jason that I felt he hadn't really gained any weight but he seems to be getting longer. They didn't measure him but I guess a mom knows best.

Jason was on Spring Break all last week so he stayed home with Brady and they had a great time despite the fact that Brady was sick and slightly grouchy for the first few days.
While on Spring Break Jason screened in our back porch. Well at least he started in since have an 8 month old doesn't leave a lot of time for other things. Over the weekend my parents came and Jason and dad worked on it all day Saturday. They didn't get totally done but it's got the screen, most walls and a roof. He just needs to close in the top and add a door then we have work on the inside that will come with time and when the money is there. :)

Last night I was playing with Brady and I noticed that he has his top 2 teeth coming in. One of them is ALMOST broken through and it may be today and the other one you can see the white. It's amazing how quickly that happens.
He's getting so strong, he stands up all the time and I think he'll walk before he crawls because he shows NO interest in crawling. Never the less he's the cutest baby and we LOVE spending as much time as possible with him.

It makes me think

Sometimes I wonder if I can handle all that God puts my way. It is said that God doesn't give you more than you can handle but can He misjudge? I'm sure it's wrong to say that because God is The Almighty, The Alpha and Omega but sometimes it makes me think.
Lately I've been seeing a lot of tiny baby's and it makes me think of Brady when he was first born. Take for instance a patient of mine just had a baby, ok his wife did, but go with it. The baby weighed 7lbs 13oz. Brady weighed 7lbs 14oz but seeing this baby I can't imagine Brady that size. Now is it because I see him every day and he's almost 20lbs now or is it because I had to much going on when he was that size? 2 weeks after I had him we moved, 12 hour road trip in temperatures that were soaring. Then 2 weeks later my dad and I had to go to TX because my Grandpa was dieing and he needed to see Brady, and I needed to see him. So another 12 hour road trip there and 12 hours back. All the while I am looking for a job because my husband has just gotten out of the Army and gone back to school. So I'm stressin about that. Ok, so we are in TX for a week and then home for 2 weeks and then we all went back to TX because it was only hours before my Grandpa was going to pass. So now my 7 week old son is back in the car for another 24 hour trip this time with 4 people and a dog in a car. SO SO crowded.
Now I get back and know that there is a therapist who wants to hire me but has yet to call me so I start that process all the while working at the hospital and trying to find a babysitter that would take infants and didn't cost me a small fortune.
So you see I was SO stressed and then had slight postpardum depression on top of it all. All of that makes me think that maybe God misjudged me and I really shouldn't have had all that stress but since I'm typing this and obviously made it through maybe, probably God DID know I could handle it because God is the all knowing.

We almost have a tooth

There we sat in the back of my dads extended cab truck, waiting on mom and dad (aka grandma and grandpa) to test-drive a car and I felt it, a tooth! Brady is finally getting a tooth. I felt the sharp point so of course I had to see it, so after lots of trying and Brady fighting me I got to see where it was coming in. Then right next to it is another spot that's about to break open. His first tooth. I was so exicted and had no one to call. Can't call mom and dad because they are test driving a car, don't really need a phone call, tried to call Jason but he was busy all day with ROTC and couldn't answer his phone. So there I sat waiting on someone, anyone, to tell.
